Madharam GP

The name "Madharam" means "Madhavuni Varam." There is a temple dedicated to Sita Ramanjaneya Swamy in Madharam, built by the famous writer Gona Buddha Reddy Garu in 1874. The total population of the village is 5,728, including 1,271 SC candidates, 725 OC candidates, and 3,732 BC candidates. The main occupations are agriculture and small businesses. The Union Bank of India is very beneficial to the people of this village.

Madharam has a large population of Kurumas, and the villagers now produce and supply 5,000 liters of milk daily to dairies across Telangana State, a feat made possible with the help of UCO Bank of Madharam. The village lake covers an area of about 5 acres, providing water for irrigation to Madharam as well as the surrounding villages of Rachulapally, Jedipally, and Kurmedda. It also serves the irrigation needs of Urkonda village.

In the village, there are government primary and higher schools, along with Saraswathi Shishu Mandir and Spoorthy Grammar School, which provide education not only to the children of Madharam but also to those from the neighboring villages of Ellikatte, Jedipally, and Rachalapally. The government school has been serving the community since 1968 and continues its journey to this day.
